Outdoor Coaching
Where Adventure Meets Transformation
Life is meant to be an adventure, not an agenda.
But so many of us get caught in the day-to-day routines that we forget what life's actually about.
We wait for weekends to have fun.
We limit our freedom because of endless commitments.
Our to-do lists get longer and longer until we start questioning:
Who am I even doing this for? What's the point?
Surely life isn't about waiting for retirement or ticking off tasks until we're too tired to enjoy what's left.

Here's what I know: We are nature.
Not separate from it.
Not visitors to it.
Part of it!
And when you step outside; when you move your body, feel the elements, walk through the landscape, something shifts.
The noise quiets. The clarity returns. You remember what matters.

This is why Outdoor Coaching exists: to break you free from conventional living and help you create a life that truly excites you. Not through another indoor session with a notepad and a chair, but through a unique 2-hour adventure in the beautiful Dorset countryside where therapeutic transformation happens naturally.
Because the best breakthroughs don't happen sitting down.

Why Outdoors Changes Everything & How It Works
As an accredited counsellor, I've witnessed the profound therapeutic impact of reconnecting with nature. Traditional coaching and therapy keep you in your head. Outdoor Coaching gets you into your body and back into the natural world where your innate wellbeing lives.
When you combine movement, the therapeutic qualities of nature, and transformational coaching, you unlock insights that wouldn't surface anywhere else. Your body knows things your mind hasn't caught up to yet. The landscape gives you perspective and mirrors what's happening inside you. And the conversation flows differently when you're walking side-by-side through ancient woodlands, along windswept beaches, or across hilltops instead of sitting face-to-face in a room.
Research consistently shows that time in nature reduces stress, anxiety, and rumination while increasing creativity, clarity, and emotional regulation. But beyond the science, there's something deeper: nature reminds us of our own resilience, our own rhythms, our own capacity for growth.

Here's how we work together:

Single-Session Adventures: Book one session at a time. No packages, no commitments. You decide when you need to step outside and gain perspective.
Bespoke 2-Hour Experiences:
Every session is unique. We'll discuss what you're facing, what you need, and which Dorset location will serve your transformation:
-
Castles: For when you need to reclaim your strength and perspective
-
Beaches: For when you need spaciousness and the rhythm of something bigger
-
Hills: For when you need to gain elevation on your challenges
-
Countryside: For when you need grounding and gentle forward movement
Therapeutic Expertise Meets Adventure: I bring my experience as an accredited counsellor and my deep understanding of nature's wellbeing benefits to every session. This isn't just a nice walk with a coach it's a professionally guided therapeutic experience in the natural world designed to reconnect you with three fundamental ways of being:
Be Playful: Rediscover Joy and Curiosity
When did life become so serious? When did you stop exploring just for the sake of it? Playfulness isn't frivolous, it's essential. It's how we experiment, take creative risks, and remember that mistakes are just part of the adventure. In our outdoor sessions, playfulness might look like trying a different route, scrambling over rocks, or simply noticing what catches your eye without needing it to mean something. We give you permission to be curious again, to approach your life and challenges with lightness instead of heaviness. Because when you're playful, solutions appear that rigid thinking could never access.

Be Present: Embrace Each Moment Fully
Most of us are either rehashing the past or rehearsing the future. We're rarely here. Nature has a way of pulling you back into the present moment the crunch of gravel underfoot, the salt air on your face, the vast horizon reminding you there's more than what's in your head. Presence isn't about forcing yourself to "be mindful." It's about creating the conditions where presence happens naturally. When you're moving through the landscape, your nervous system settles. The mental chatter quiets. And suddenly, you can hear what's actually true instead of what anxiety is telling you. This is where clarity lives not in the past or future, but right here.

Be Purposeful: Live with Intention and Meaning
Purpose isn't some grand destiny you have to discover. It's about aligning your daily life with what genuinely matters to you. Not what you think should matter. Not what looks impressive. What actually fills you up. Through our outdoor adventures, we explore what gives your life meaning, what lights you up, and what you're building toward. We challenge the default scripts you've been following and create space for you to define success on your own terms. Because fulfilment doesn't come from achieving more it comes from pursuing what's meaningful to you. And that clarity often emerges when you're standing on a hilltop looking out at the possibilities, or walking a beach realising how small your worries are compared to the vastness of what's possible.
What We'll Do Together
Each Outdoor Coaching session is a 2-hour bespoke adventure designed around what you need and where you are. We'll choose a location across Dorset that serves your journey:
-
Castles: For when you need to reclaim your strength and perspective
-
Beaches: For when you need spaciousness and the rhythm of something bigger
-
Hills: For when you need to gain elevation on your challenges
-
Countryside: For when you need grounding and gentle forward movement
This approach is perfect for anyone facing a particular problem or challenge that would benefit from getting out of the usual environment:
-
Feeling stuck in a rut and need a fresh perspective
-
Lacking creativity or feeling disconnected from yourself
-
Navigating a life transition (career change, relationship shift, identity evolution)
-
Struggling with stress, anxiety, or overwhelm and need space to breathe
-
Craving more fun, freedom, or fulfilment but not sure where to start
We'll move through the landscape together, embracing the elements, following the terrain, letting the adventure unfold, while having the kind of transformational conversations that leave you with clarity, renewed energy, and lasting change.

This isn't a walk where coaching happens to be outside.
This is coaching through the outdoors.
We use the therapeutic power of nature, the movement, the weather, the rhythm of your body, and the unique qualities of each location to access insights that only emerge when you step out of the familiar and into the wild.
You'll leave with more than memories. You'll leave changed.

"Ashley gave me the space that I needed recently to self reflect, on how life currently is. Ashley had a few thought provoking questions set out which we discussed, and even though I feel equipped in life at present, there is always time for reflection and development. Thanks Ashley."
